This morning Piper and I each had several vials of blood taken for yet another tissue typing after the results of two weeks ago had some of the doctors concerned. It was a long day of waiting for the results, but I just got a call from Cathy McAdams, who informed me that the results were perfect and we will move forward with the transplant on December 16th.
The last two weeks were brutal. Having to wait to do the tissue typing and wondering whether we would get this transplant done was as trying as any experience I’ve ever had. Last night, Erin told me that I had not been myself the last few weeks, and I think that is probably the understatement of the year. I believe it’s safe to say that NO ONE in my family has been themselves the last few weeks, not to mention the last six months. I am so relieved that I am indeed a perfect match for little Piper, and barring any unexpected twists, this transplant is going to happen before the end of the year. Once she has this new kidney, she can begin what we all expect will be a rapid improvement in quality of life.
I’m grateful for all of the support that surrounds us. We could not get through all of this without our friends and family who have been standing by us every step of the way. I will be thrilled to see my Dad and brother this weekend and my sister and her family next week . We’ve been so lucky to have my Mom here with us the last few weeks and it will be nice to have my entire side of the family around me for the first few days after surgery.
Thank you to all of you for your prayers. They continue to be answered and we now look forward to the next step with great anticipation.

Am hoping all is still on go, You, Piper , Erin and the whole family are in our constant prayers. We put all of you on the prayer list in our Bible study class at church and so many folks have been asking for updates, So many fervent prayers are being lifted for all of you, Our love and prayers, Marguerite and “Crew”

Yesterday while at church, I put chris and piper on our prayer chain that GOD blesses the hands of the surgeons performing their surgeries tomorrow and that the surgeries are successful and they both have a quick recovery.
