On November 21, 2019, Erin, Chris and Piper Lee were proud to donate $50,000 to the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children on behalf of Piper’s Kidney Beans Foundation. $15,000 of their gift will go to the continued enhancements to the genetic testing panel and further research of the use of genetic testing in treating nephrotic syndrome. As part of a shift in their focus, the remaining $35,000 of their gift will go to subsidize, in part or in whole, the cost of genetic testing for families in need.
