It is now 2:54 pm and we just got word that her left kidney is almost out. We have also learned that her ovaries look completely normal which is very good news. There was some concern that her ovaries would be abnormal and we would have to decide whether to remove them or not.
They will soon begin working on her right kidney and then they will visually examine and likely biopsy the lymph nodes that sit near her kidneys.
My parents have arrived at the hospital which is great and Erin’s mom, Louise, is also here. Des and April are still with us as well. Des’s husband, James, should be here soon.
Spirits are good and we are staying optimistic. No reason to feel any other way.
