SURGERY DAY – UPDATE 1

Posted on Posted in Piper's Blog

It’s 12:03 pm and she is back in surgery. The procedure from start to finish will probably take 5 hours. It was very difficult to let the doctors take her and we both had a good cry. We are so lucky to have our friends Desiree and April here to help us through this. You may remember that April was our night nurse for the first 3 months of the twins life and we couldn’t have gotten through it without her. Now she’s a nursing school graduate ready to pass her test and become a full time RN. Both of these girls are wonderful friends.

The dialysis went well. Piper did great. We are very hopeful that the surgery will go well and our littlest baby will be safe and sound throughout.

Again, I can’t say enough about this hospital. The doctors and nurses are just spectacular. We are so lucky to live so close.

  1. Chris and Erin,

I cant even imagine what you are going through, but i have been thinking of you both and have been saying prayers for Piper. I wish her a successful surgery and recovery.

  2. I have wanted to respond for a few weeks but hesitant. Chris, the concern and love for you and your family has always been there. When I have strong feelings for dear friends that concern and love I have for them goes as well to their loved ones. The prayers and concern when way up as soon as I heard about Piper. I don’t have the opportunity for personal contact with your family or Katie’s but do feel I know you through Susan. Love all the pictures and updates she shares.

Many good thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire Lee family from Virginia Beach.

    Blessings,
    Dot

  3. I know I’m just one of many EEC Teachers that are praying and thinking of you guys through this time.
