JUST A QUICK UPDATE

Posted on Posted in Piper's Blog

Piper’s condition has not improved and the doctors have concluded it is time for a dialysis line to be put into place. That will happen sometime today. We are currently waiting to be taken down to the OR.

Last night was a rough one. The nurses had to check her blood pressure multiple times and she got lots of meds, which kept waking both of us up all night.  We also got a new roommate which was quite a commotion as the 85 year old nurse (who no one can believe is still working) made as much noise as possible removing the other crib and moving a bed in. Our new neighbor is a 17 year old girl who broke her elbow and was medivac’d in from the beach due to no sensation in her hand. Poor thing starts school on Tuesday and has to have corrective surgery today (HIPPA? What HIPPA?).

Anyway, it was a long night and Piper is quite a bit worse for the wear. Here is what she looks like this morning:

  1. Sweet Piper….

  2. Chris and Erin,

I am Aprils sister, Ruthy Jones. I hear so much about you guys, and she absolutely adores your family. My Jeremy is about the age of your sweet Piper and Harper, and my Son Bryson will be 4 in December, similar to Sophia. Twin one year olds is no joke I’m sure ;), but pure joy nonetheless! April shares stories and experiences she has with you guys and I feel like I kind of know you a little bit through the picture April has painted. April is so darn sweet isn’t she? I just love being around her. She’s a breath of fresh air to everyone!

I know your time is precious, so I’ll refrain from going on and on like I usually do ;), but I wanted to let you all know I’m lifting up sweet piper in prayer. You all are being shaken in one way or another so I am praying for strength, peace, and wisdom for you too. I also will pray for the doctors that God will give them clarity and wisdom to know what steps to take.

I don’t want to sound churchy, cliche, or religious. I want you to know that you have people praying to a very powerful God who listens to us.

It sounds like from reading your blog, the doctors at AI are phenomenal, and their staying on top of every detail. That’s awesome. I will continue to read your updates! I look forward to the chance of meeting you both, and your three cutie pies!!!!

  3. Thank you Ruthy. We adore April and she has truly become a member of our family. We look forward to meeting the entire Fedale family one of these days!
