Just a brief note to let you all know that Piper’s hemodialysis port comes out on Monday at 10 am. This is a big step because once it is out, a major source of infection is gone. This also means that she will be visiting the hospital on a less frequent basis and can return to daycare as soon as the site heals properly. Finally, she can also take a bath! I can’t wait to wash her hair!
I will update the blog as soon as we get the word that the surgery went well. We have every confidence it will, and we are excited for this next step.
