On Monday, October 3, 2016, Piper’s Kidney Beans Foundation made its first donation to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. Erin Lee along with her daughters Piper, Harper and Sophia, presented the hospital with a check for $30,000 to be used for the expansion of A.I.’s newly created nephrotic genetic testing laboratory.
This donation comes as a result of over a year of fundraising including Piper’s Kidney Beans First Annual BEANefit at Harry’s Savoy in May. The Second Annual BEANefit will once again take place at Harry’s Savoy in March of 2017.
We are so appreciative of everyone who has made this happen! This is a huge step towards reaching one of our major goals of having a totally comprehensive nephrotic genetic testing lab right here in the Delaware Valley so that families, both near and far, can get the answers they need.
Our fundraising efforts continue as we strive to make our vision a reality. Almost every penny of every donation goes directly to our cause!
